Kerner Pacherhof – Alto Adige Valle Isarco DOC
A white wine made from Kerner grapes grown near Novacella in the Bressanone basin. Bright yellow with greenish highlights, it has pleasant aromas of white peach and grapefruit; on the palate it is full, fresh and fruity.
Vineyards and terroir
- Production area: Novacella, Bressanone basin.
- Altitude: 600–900 m above sea level.
- Soil: permeable morainic deposits of mica schist, paragneiss and quartzite.
- Training system: Guyot.
- Harvest: hand-picked, generally in late September.
Winemaking
Slow, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The technical sheet indicates around six months of ageing on fine lees in stainless steel and large wooden casks.
Serving and pairings
Serve at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with aperitifs, light starters, grilled fish, vegetable dishes and speck.
